Hi there!, for the flick fans here’s another movie to catch: A Private War, personal and working life of Marie Colvin, Sunday Times war correspondent in the most troubled areas of the world from 1985 until 2012, when she got killed in besieged Homs during a government attack against the rebels.

We learn of her in Sri Lanka, side by side with civilians during fights between troops and Tamil Tigers; in Iraq, looking for a Kuwaiti mass grave; Syria, witnessing children’s deaths by the thousand; and in Chechnia, Kosovo, Zimbabwe… .

This feisty pugnacious woman raised her head and gave her life over to her need to disclose the unspoken truth of harmless people struggling with war trauma inflicted by colluding political rulers that “hit and hide it”.
